Read Before You Deal

BookFlow connects local book lovers to buy, sell, and exchange books. While most of our community members are genuine, it is important to stay alert and protect yourself from modern scams. Always ensure that transactions take place locally and in-person.

🚨 Beware of UPI & QR Code Scams

Never scan a QR code or enter your UPI PIN to RECEIVE money. Scammers often pretend to be buyers and send a QR code claiming it will send money to your account. Remember: UPI PIN is ONLY used to send money, never to receive it. Never pay advanced courier charges or "platform fees" to buyers.

✅ Safe Meeting Guidelines

📍
Meet in Public Places

Always arrange to meet in well-lit, public locations like cafes, metro stations, or malls. Avoid secluded spots or inviting strangers to your home.

📖
Inspect Before You Buy

Check the condition, edition, and pages of the book in person before handing over the payment. BookFlow does not verify the condition of the listed books.

🤝
Pay On The Spot

Complete the payment only after you have met the person and received the book. Cash or direct UPI transfer at the time of meeting is the safest method.

🚫 Red Flags to Avoid

💸
Never Wire Money in Advance

Never send money via bank transfer, courier services, or wire payment services before receiving the book. BookFlow is purely a local classifieds platform.

🔗
Don't Click Suspicious Links

If a buyer/seller sends a link via SMS or WhatsApp asking you to "click here to receive payment," ignore it. It is likely a phishing link.

🛡️
Protect Your Personal Info

Never share your banking details, credit card numbers, OTPs, or BookFlow passwords. Do not share your home address unless absolutely necessary.

📌 Important BookFlow Policies

  • No Buyer Protection: BookFlow does NOT offer buyer protection, delivery, or online payment systems. Any email or website claiming "BookFlow Safe Pay" or similar services is a scam.
  • Report Suspicious Activity: If you spot a fake ad, receive suspicious emails, or encounter fraud, please report it to local authorities and inform us immediately.
  • Contact Us: Forward scam messages or report users directly to help@bookflow.in.
Use common sense. If a deal sounds too good to be true, it probably is.
