Becoming Enlightened

This book by the Dalai Lama is about meditation. It is published by Rider and costs Rs. 323. Only one person has read this copy, namely, me. It is in brand new condition.

The book talks of cyclic existence, i.e., the endless cycles of birth, death and rebirth. The first part of the book talks of the need to take a long term perspective and be aware that actions have karmic consequences in the future. The second step consists of taking refuge in spiritual practice, while the  third steps focuses on altruism, kindness, compassion, and selflessness. 

The book is a good introduction to  Buddhist meditative practice, though you may have to read it a few times to understand it. The books How to See Yourself as You Really Are and How to Practice, both by the Dalai Lama and both published by Rider, will help you get the most out of the current book. 

I purchased the book from Amazon.in for Rs. 320. Only one person, namely me, has read this book. The book is in new-like condition.
