The God and demigods

“A person who considers demigods like Brahmā and Śiva to be on an equal level with Nārāyana is to be considered an offender, a pāṣaṇdi, nonbeliever, an atheist.” – Padma Purana

The most distinguished demigods in the universe cannot be compared to the Supreme Lord, especially when considering the condition of human Lords. One cannot make meaningful progress in divine life without overcoming the widespread misconceptions about the soul and God. In today’s society, the notion of spiritual life has become rather nebulous. Any ritualistic act, any location where individuals pay homage to a deity, or even the veneration of a stone, is often classified as spiritual. Nevertheless, genuine spiritual life does not commence until the deity is acknowledged as eternal, omnipresent, omniscient, and omnipotent, with an inseparable spiritual body and soul. This deity must be recognized as the source of the total cosmic creation. Who is He? Where does He live? How does He look? What is His form? Are answered in this book, God and the Demigods!
